Sparkling

Sparkling wine has its fizz due to containing carbon dioxide. Sparkling wine is a broad term and there are various styles from dry to sweet and they can be white, rosé, or even red.

The fizz or carbonation in the wine comes from the second fermentation process, either done in the bottle or the tank. During this process yeast eats the sugar from the grape and releases carbon dioxide.
