A Legacy Rooted in Passion: The Story of Baldissero Wines

1953: A Vineyard, A Dream

In the heart of Treiso, a small village in the Langhe hills, Guido Baldissero stood before the vineyard he had just purchased. The year was 1953, and with calloused hands and a heart full of ambition, he envisioned a future where these vines would yield something truly special. For decades, Guido tended to his land with quiet dedication. His grapes, grown with care across nearly 7 hectares, were sold to renowned winemakers who turned them into prestigious wines. Yet, amidst the rolling hills and endless vines, a deeper dream was waiting to take root.

A Grandson’s Promise

Marco, Guido’s grandson, grew up alongside those same vines, learning the rhythm of the land and the meaning of craftsmanship. After training at the Enological School of Alba and working at top wineries, Marco returned home in 2016 with a clear goal: to stop selling the best fruit and begin crafting wines under his own name. Baldissero Wines was born—a tribute to family and tradition.

The Secret in the Soil

Today, Marco cultivates the historic 3.52-hectare vineyard his grandfather once tended. Its southeast exposure is a natural advantage, gently ripening grapes in the morning sun while preserving freshness through cooler afternoons. This balance creates wines that are elegant, complex, and deeply connected to their origins. Baldissero wines are available now—taste the story in every glass.
