Brigante

Brigante is a family-run winery located in Calabria, where several generations have worked the land and cultivated vines. The estate's roots stretch back to the late nineteenth century, though the modern chapter began after the Second World War when Cataldo Sestito planted the family's first vineyards using little more than a horse and plough.

Today, the winery is run by Enzo Sestito and Stefania Carè, who continue to focus on the region's native grape varieties and distinctive terroir. The vineyards sit between the Ionian coast and the inland valleys of the Presila, benefiting from both maritime influence and cooling mountain air. The wines are unmistakably Calabrian in character, shaped by the region's warm climate, rugged landscape and long winemaking tradition. Brigante remains deeply connected to its origins, producing wines that speak clearly of place and family heritage.
