Quinta da Sardinha is located in Portugal's Upper Douro, between Vila Nova de Foz Côa and Mêda, where vineyards are planted across dramatic slopes overlooking the valley below. The vineyards are planted on predominantly schist and granite soils, two of the defining features of the Douro landscape.
