Organic
Organic wine is made by using organic / sustainable farming practices. This excludes the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
It is a movement towards sustainable viticulture and the exclusion of harmful chemicals in the growing and production of wine.
To be identified as organic, wines must be certified by a recognised organic certification body to ensure compliance with the relevant standards.
Organic wine is typically much higher in quality due to focusing on the health of the vineyard's ecosystem and lack of harmful chemicals.
